Information on this year’s conference.

“The Intelligent Classroom”

Last year we explored the question of “Cyber Security” and we came to the conclusion that this was achieved through engagement with the user areas and people involved.

This year our theme will focus on The Intelligent Classroom and its relevance to the education sector.

For our supplier and vendor partners this means our challenge to you is:

· We want to hear how your customers have engaged their organisations to use your technology
· We want more Use Cases and examples of engagement and less technology product specification

Please Note Venue and Date Change:

The annual ITSSA Conference will  return to the Rich River Golf Club,
Twenty Four Lane, Moama NSW 2731

Wednesday 21 November – Friday 23November 2018

Invitation to Vendors to Participate

As in previous years, ITSSA is extending an invitation to vendors to participate in the ITSSA Annual Conference.

The conference will be held at the Rich River Golf Club, Moama NSW from
Wednesday 21 November to Friday 23 November, 2018.

The format has been changed to promote wider vendor participation and encourage collaborative presentations which will provide a strategic view of ICT in line with emerging trends around the globe. The ITSSA group is particularly interested in presenters who can participate in panel discussion forums and provide informative and innovative keynote addresses that are not only relevant and interesting to the TAFE institutes but which also consider the potential impacts of evolving technologies for ICT managers as a whole.

Vendors should consider the theme of this year’s conference “The Intelligent Classroom” to plan their presentation. Last year we explored “CYBER SECURITY” and we came to the conclusion that this was achieved through engagement with the user areas and people involved.

This year our theme will focus on The Intelligent Classroom and its relevance to the education sector.

For our supplier and vendor partners this means our challenge to you is:

· We want to hear how your customers have engaged their organisations to use your technology.

· We want more Use Cases and examples of engagement and less technology product specification.

.

Vendors are able to participate in the conference in the following ways:

  • Presentation slots
  • Scheduled workshops
  • Booth and exhibition presence

Scheduled Workshops

These workshops are aimed at product specific presentations but which provide real case studies, to include the good, not so good and the ugly. As such these sessions are to be presented in collaboration with TAFE customers. The aim is to give members a clear picture of how a new solution was identified and selected, how the project was planned, then implemented including those steps that were needed to move it into production/on-going support. Note: These presentations may also be collaborative and include more than one vendor in the overall presentation.

Several workshops may be scheduled to run concurrently to allow participants to choose which they wish to attend. As time and space permits, vendors may be able to run additional or repeat workshops.

Those interested in securing a workshop are asked to notify Malcolm Gill via email to
itssaadm@gmail.com Please mark subject line “Workshop presentation”.

Detailed proposals should be submitted  no later than 15thOctober, 2018 Preference will be given to vendors who are able to present a collaborative workshop.

The time slots for these sessions will be approximately 45 mins. Vendors will be advised if they have been allocated a workshop in early November.

If you would like to discuss the content of your workshop, please contact Malcolm Gill or any other ITSSA committee member – see details at the end of this document.

Sponsor’s Exhibition Area

There will be a series of tables set up as per previous years. Some vendors may also wish to participate in both workshops and keynote addresses. To accommodate any queries arising from such activities, the conference program will schedule time between sessions, to allow participants to visit the booths for any follow up questions etc.

Vendors wishing to reserve a table presence are asked to notify Malcolm Gill via email to
itssaadm@gmail.com Please mark subject line “Exhibition Area Allocation”.

Vendors will be advised if they have been allocated space in the exhibition area in early November.

Cost of Exhibition Space = $900 Ex GST per organisation..

CONFERENCE PRESENTATION FOR 2018

Vendors wishing to present in one of the above formats are advised that the cost has increased just a little above the rate of inflation and yet still offers great value for money to so many key influencers in the TAFE sector.

Cost of Presentation = $900 Ex GST per organisation.

Registration Fee

In addition delegates attending the conference will be required to pay a registration fee, which includes meals and activities for the duration of the conference. Final registration fee cost has been set at $550 for the three days. Accommodation will be separate.
